Who is the course for?
This ATEX / PED Training course is aimed at individuals working in the UK oil and gas industry who work with or near mechanical or electrical equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Is previous experience required?
You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.
How will the course benefit me?
The ATEX Directives aim to ensure that equipment can be used safely, without posing a threat to workers, the asset or equipment. This course will give you an overview of the ATEX directives and what must be done to be in compliance.
The course also covers the PED Directive and the roles and responsibilities needed to ensure conformance with the directive.

By ensuring you are fully aware of the ATEX and PED directives, you can help your company to achieve compliance with the directives and the associated legislation.

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.
